MAC(BETH), PODCASTER is a zany, modern-day reimagining of Shakespeare’s MACBETH, set in the cutthroat world of podcasting and echoing the major plot points of the original.  The story follows Mac(beth), an ambitious podcast host who, after receiving a prophecy from three corporate “witches” at the Heath Corporation, is told he is destined to become the number one podcaster in the world.  Spurred on and manipulated by his unhinged wife, Lady M(acbeth), Mac sacrifices his integrity by betraying his best friend and co-host Banksy (Banquo), peddling sensationalized falsehoods, and orchestrating the downfall of reigning podcast king Duncan (Hines) in his ruthless ascent.  Blending sharp satire, dark humor, and contemporary media culture, the script explores power, politics, and the personal cost of chasing ambition at any price.
